Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Jiang Zengwei said here today that the Ministry of Commerce will strengthen communication with relevant departments, strive to achieve a seamless connection of food safety, and improve the level of food safety in the circulation field from six aspects.


        "2009 China Food Safety High-level Forum" was held in Beijing today. Jiang Zengwei made a keynote speech and said that the Ministry of Commerce, as the industry management department in the circulation field, shoulders the important responsibility of guiding and urging circulation enterprises to establish food safety management systems, regulate business behaviors, and improve food safety assurance capabilities. The food safety level in the circulation field will be improved from six aspects-strengthening food business safety management. Supervise and urge food business operators to establish a system for requesting certificates and invoices, purchase and sales accounts, a recall system for unqualified foods, and a food safety information announcement system; guide various food trading markets to establish agreement access and management systems for food business operators, and business management files to clarify Food safety management responsibilities of market operators.


——Improve the standardization and industrialization of the catering industry. Establish and improve the catering industry standard system, increase the promotion of catering industry standards, and comprehensively improve the industry standardization level; accelerate the development of popular catering focusing on the "breakfast project", promote the construction of staple food processing and distribution centers, and ensure the safety of urban residents' catering consumption; Build a national catering industrialization base, raw material base, industrialization base and talent base, promote large-scale and brand-based operations in the catering industry, cultivate a number of influential catering brands; promote modern management models, and encourage catering companies to innovate management systems , Improve management level.


——Ensure the safety of imported and exported food. Cooperate with relevant departments to report, monitor and deal with the import of substandard food in a timely manner, and assist enterprises in the recall, return, destruction and compensation of substandard food.


——Promote the establishment of laws, regulations, standards and integrity systems related to food safety in the circulation field.

Jiang Zengwei said that the Ministry of Commerce, as a component of food safety management work, will earnestly follow the relevant requirements of the Food Safety Law to further strengthen the industry management of food safety in the circulation field and create a good food safety environment.
